Speaking on Szabadság tér in downtown budapest, deputy state secretary in the Prime Minister's Office, Péter Balázs Molnár said Hungarians have a lot to celebrate because the country spent half of the 28 years that have passed since 1990 [the year of the first free elections in the second half of the 20th century.]

He stressed that it is an important milestone in the history of the country, pointing out that EU membership enjoys big support among the Hungarian population.
