Diplomatic Fair in Budapest
Sunday, November the 20th 2011 the Diplomatic Spouses of Budapest will organize a big Diplomatic Fair to raise money for its charity Institutions and to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the foundation of the organization.
Diplomacy&Trade online | November 8, 2011

The event will be a meeting place of the diplomatic world, the expats and the Hungarians. The organizers say they offer the visitors a multi cultural market at a beautiful location.

"There will be a nice mix of national and international articles, second hand clothes and bric and brac from the houses of ambassadors and other diplomats. Also a place to rest and eat and drink, a kid’s corner, special entertainment and demonstrations, beautiful prizes to win: all in the name of charity."

"We welcome you to join us and have a stand to sell or promote your merchandise on this Sunday in November. The charge for your participation will be: 5,000 HUF for a table (183x77cm). Also we kindly ask, from your merchandise, a prize for our lotteries at your choice: a gift valued up to 3,000 HUF for surprise tombola or a prize over 10,000 HUF for big raffle. And if you have a good sale, we would appreciate if you donate 10% of your profits to our charities."

Hotel Intercontinental provides the venue for free; everybody involved in the organisation works as a volunteer. All the money you pay goes to Charity. The Event will be officially opened by a dignitary/celebrity.

The money goes to the following institutions:

- The Special Education and Development Institute SOFI (about 200 children mentally challenged, aged 3-21)

- The Sisters of Good Shepherd  shelter and educational centre for abused woman and their children,  about 120 children)

- The Children`s Home ( A MI HAZUNK ) in Esztergom (Educational program for Roma children,  about 100 children )

The market place will have approximately 40 different stalls half of them embassy tables from different countries and half of them ‘local’ tables from Hungarian/Budapest’ shops and galleries.

Those willing to participate, should contact Biljana Griovska at grioff@gmail.com, phone: +36-30-363-6588.
