CONTRIBUTORS OF THE MONTH

BORIS BABIC is the correspondent for the German news agency Deutsche Presse Agentur (dpa) in Belgrade. He also contributes the World Service of the German radio broadcaster Deutsche Welle.

CAROLYN CHAPMAN is a freelance journalist based in Budapest. She contributes to local and international publications including CNS News, The Washington Post, and the Globe & Mail.

KESTER EDDY is a freelance journalist who has contributed to the Economist Intelligence Unit, Financial Times and several other regional and local publications. He has also produced reports for CNN World Report.

ZOLTÁN HASZÁN is a staff writer for the Hungarian daily Népszabadság. He has extensively covered a wide array of Hungarian issues including the media, politics and defense.

SHADA ISLAM is a correspondent for the German news agency Deutsche Presse Agentur (dpa) in Brussels. She primarily covers the European Union and NATO, and contributes to international publications.

MARTA KARENOVA is a staff reporter for Budapest Week Publishing. She covers socio-economic issues and market trends in Central and Eastern Europe.

NÓRA LAKOS is a freelance journalist based in Budapest. She is a regular contributor to Hungarian daily Népszava, and deputy editor of the cultural website ontheglobe.com. She currently studies film direction.

JOHN NADLER is a correspondent for CanWest Newspapers, Canada's largest newspaper chain. He contributes to TIME and Variety magazine. His book “Searching for Sofia” was just released in paperback by DoubleDay Canada.

GIOVANNI PADULA is the director of CityO, a research and consulting company based in Milan. He is a regular contributor of the Italian financial daily Il Sole 24 Ore, covering urban issues and local economic development.

CHRISTINE PIROVOLAKIS is the correspondent for the German Press Agency (dpa) in Athens. She also contributes to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the English service of German radio broadcaster Deutsche Welle.

STEPHEN S. POLOZ is chief economist with Export Development Canada (EDC), Canada’s export credit agency. He is the former managing editor of the publication The International Bank Credit Analyst.

Andrew Princz founding Editor of DT – Diplomacy and Trade is also editor of the cultural portal ontheglobe. com. He has corresponded for the German Press Agency (dpa), the Canadian Press (CP), the Wall Street Journal and Art News.

Jura Nanuk founding Photo Editor of DT – Diplomacy & Trade. For five years he covered the conflictridden wars in the former Yugoslavia before moving to Budapest. He is currently in production of a photography book on China.
