Astra Film Fest in Romania
Organized in the remote Romanian Town of Sibiu, the 7th Astra Film Festival is a multifaceted cultural project, with an anthropological photograph exhibition, Russian music and dance sessions and a special program dedicated to ethnographic filmmaker John Marshall.

7th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival
Taking place in Tallinn, Tartu and Viljandi, the festival is geared around three main programs. The first is a feature film festival that combines animated, student and youth films. World Press Photo 2004
Each year, photojournalists from around the world contribute to the World Press Photo contest. This year’s subject matter ranges from light-hearted glimpses into the life of Australian ballerinas to the heavy realities of Iraqi prisoners of war. Seen by millions around the world, the exhibition hopes to educate its audience on global issues as well as dazzle their visual senses.

Ludwig Museum
Peter Halasz and Anna Koos founded the Kassak Studio in 1969. The theater group consists of nonprofessional young performers who invoke a curious blend of French and Japanese influences. From the beginning, Endre Kovács photographed the group and documented them when they went underground in Budapest after being banned, following their achievement of some success in New York as the Squat Theater. The result is a backstage pass few have ever enjoyed.

Who if not we … ? Surfacing
